What's Covered
Medicare Part D will cover most of your prescription drugs. However, there are a few medicines that are not covered by Medicare Part D. Those medicines are covered by Molina MyCare Ohio Medicaid. They are listed on the Ohio Medicaid Over-the-counter (OTC) List.

Your Molina MyCare Ohio Medicaid plan will cover certain over-the-counter medicines listed on the Ohio Medicaid OTC List as long as:

  • The drug is medically necessary.
  • The prescription is filled at a Molina MyCare Ohio network pharmacy and other plan rules are followed.

 

You may need prior authorization if a medicine is not on the covered drug list. If your provider says it is medically necessary, they can request a prior authorization. This is a request for us to cover the drug. Your provider knows how to submit information for your authorization request.
